An impressive 54 entries, an increase of the 50 that competed in 2017, are on the current entry list for Lake Superior Performance Rally, the eighth round of the 2018 Rally America National Championship. The two-day event will take place on Friday, October 19 and Saturday, October 20.

The entries are headlined by not only the defending Rally America National Champions, but also the top three teams in Rally America overall points. 2017 title winners Arkadiusz Gruszka and Lukasz Wronski will return to the entry list, battling it out with Sno*Drift winners Dave/Mike Brown, four-time 2018 winners Piotr Fetela/Dominik Jozwiak, and Nemadji Winter Trail Rally winners Nathan Usher/Marianna Langosch.

Many top names return to the Open and Super Production entry lists, including Joseph Burke, Mark Williams/Steven Harrell, Zach Whitebread/Cameron Carr, and Cameron Steely/Preston Osborn. Samir and Rachelle Kaltak will return to the stages in a Super Production entry, as will Nick Roberts, running in his first Rally America event since 2016 alongside Scott Putnam at CPD Racing.

The 2WD entry lists are similarly stacked, as Seamus Burke/Martin Brady rejoin the Group 5 fight against Michael Hooper/Claudia Barbera-Pullen. An extensive Group 2 entry list, currently at 13 entries, includes entries ranging from Mike Hurst’s well-known 1974 Ford Capri to Keanna Erickson-Chang’s 2013 Ford Fiesta R1. And the B-spec entry list will see Doug Gekiere/Matthew Hoffman and Tracey Gardiner/Tracy Manspeaker return to action as they look to take down points-leading Chris Sladek and co-driver John Sharps on the Maxxis/HPD Rally Team.

The Open Light class remains as deep as ever, even with Usher/Langosch stepping up to Super Production. Brown/Brown will face off with 13 other entries, including Show-Me Rally class runners-up Ryan/Rachel Rethy, Rally in the 100 Acre Wood class podium finishers Arek Bialobrzeski/Aris Mantopoulos, and multiple-time 2018 class podium finishers Jimmy Pelizzari/Kate Stevens.
